FAST is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Most of our income is from fees collected from our members. To help keep our programs affordable and to balance our budget, from time to time we will conduct fundraising events. Examples are listed below:

FAST's Online Swim Bookstore is an association with Amazon.com to provide a service to our team members and to generate funds for our programs. By purchasing products using links with our "FORTWORTHAREASWI" referral code, FAST earns a generous rebate at no cost to you. | ||||||||

Many companies encourage support of United Way agencies and other charitable organizations through payroll deductions and one-time gifts. FAST is a non-profit IRS 501(c)(3) charity and eligible to receive funds through these programs. If you are already contributing to United Way, please consider designating FORT WORTH AREA SWIM TEAM as a recipient. We are not a line agency, so you must specifically designate our organization as a recipient for us to receive donations. | ||||||||

SchoolPop has partnered with several organizations to
provide substantial rebates to non-profit organizations such as FAST. You can register your credit cards with
them for online shopping when you start from their
SchoolPop website. Our organization is
FORT WORTH AREA SWIM TEAM and you will need to register with this for FAST to benefit. Albertsons
shoppers, please note that they have discontinued their affiliation with SchoolPop and you will need to register
your Preferred Card separately. For example, you can purchase gift certificates through SchoolPop online for these organizations:

You can register your Albertsons "Preferred" card to earn money for FAST every time you use your card when shopping. FAST has joined the Tom Thumb "Good Neighbor" program to earn rebates when shopping at their stores. Our organization number is 7048. You can link our account to your Reward Card by asking the checker the next time you shop at Tom Thumb. If you do not have a Reward Card, applications are available at Tom Thumb and can be turned in to their Cash Office. | ||||||||

Our Holiday Silent Auction is held each year in conjunction with our December holiday dinner. Team members
donate giftable items to be sold. Some items are donations from area businesses, others can include services and
homemade goods. The donor indicates the retail value of the item, and bidding starts at half that amount. Auction
winners get their holiday gift shopping done while helping the team at the same time. Donations may be
tax-deductable. |

Swim-A-Thon is a major fundraiser for FAST. We do this once every year or two. Swimmers earn money based on the number of laps they swim and the pledges they have solicited. The top earners for FAST win prizes, both individual and group. Nationwide top earners can even win a trip to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado! | ||||||||
