Background: This policy has been adopted to promote team unity, allow easy identification of FAST swimmers, and
ensure appropriate swim attire.
Procedure:
The FAST Coaching Staff will select a team uniform and inform the Swim Store Director of their choice.
The FAST swim store will supply standard team competition attire at reasonable prices.
Swimmers and parents should purchase a team suit and team cap from the Swim Store well in advance of meets.
Coaches shall carry a limited supply of team caps to meets as spares.
Exceptions:
Swimmers new to the team are allowed a grace period if a team suit was not available between the time they joined and
when they attend their first meet.
High-performance bodysuits (eg: "FASTskin") or other swimwear besides the standard FAST team suit may be worn ONLY
by permission of the Head Coach.
Policy:
FAST requires that all swimmers wear a FAST team suit in competition.
Swimmers may not be allowed to swim at a meet until they change into a FAST team suit.
If a cap is worn, it shall be a FAST cap.
FAST strongly encourages swimmers to purchase and wear a FAST T-shirt, FAST warmups or FAST parka at meets.
Additional requirements (eg: special T-shirt) will be communicated in advance.
Items that are special-ordered (eg: parka, swim bag) must be prepaid.
"FASTSKIN" and other high-performance bodysuits are not appropriate for developmental swimmers and are not allowed.
