Sigma Swim Team Standouts: Lauren Bach
Updated: May 19, 2021
From time to time, we have Sigma Swimming alumni who are doing exceptional things in the community. Lauren Bach, a former Sigma Swimmer and Sigma Swim School Instructor at our Fort Worth North location, has become an even greater asset to the swim community.

A little bit about Lauren: Lauren is a graduate of Aledo High School. She swam with Sigma for nearly 8 years and then became a beloved swim instructor. Lauren was accepted to Texas Woman's University where she will be graduating with a Kinesiology degree in May 2019. She will then pursue a graduate degree in Adapted Physical Education.
Lauren has always loved being around the water. While at TWU, she worked for Sigma for a summer and then became a manager for the TWU Rec Center pool. This summer, Lauren stepped up and took a volunteer coaching position for a Special Olympics swim team - Special Olympics Lewisville Lightning.

Lauren recently sent us a photo of her timing by the pool deck and reminiscing about all of the swim meets she herself spent as the athlete. Now as a coach, Lauren is LOVING it. Her future graduate degree in Adapted PE is described by Lauren as, "Similar to Paralympics and adapted sports."

Whatever Lauren chooses to do, we're already so proud of her and what she is contributing to our North Texas Swimming Community. Keep up the great work Lauren and we wish you all the best in your current and future endeavors!
